Front Seat Assembly (For Manual Seat)

DISASSEMBLY

NOTICE: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame and adjuster may injure your hands.






1. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE
a. Lift the reclining adjuster release handle.
b. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD






a. Disengage the 2 hooks.






b. Remove the 2 screws.
c. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front seat cushion shield.






3. REMOVE LOWER SEAT TRACK SPACER
a. Remove the 2 screws and lower seat track spacer.

4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY






5. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD
a. Remove the screw.
b. Disengage the claw and clip, and then remove the front inner seat cushion shield.






6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD
a. Disengage the clamp.
b. Disengage the hooks and remove the front seat cushion cover with pad.






7. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER
a. Remove the 16 hog rings and separate type front seat cushion cover.






8. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 2 screws.
b. Disconnect the 14 clamps and front separate type seatback cover.
c. Pull the seatback board in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to detach the 2 claws. Then, remove the front seatback board sub-assembly.






9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT
a. Detach the 2 claws and remove the headrest support.

10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT
11. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD






a. Disengage the 3 hooks.






b. Remove the 2 hog rings.






c. Remove the nut and separate the 2 brackets.
d. Remove the front seatback cover with pad.






12. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER
a. Remove the 10 hog rings and front separate type seatback cover.






13. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH
a. Remove the screw.
b. Disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.






14. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH
a. Disconnect the clamp.
b. Remove the screw.
c. Disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.






15. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH
a. Remove the screw and reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

16. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

17. REMOVE OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU

REASSEMBLY

NOTICE: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame and adjuster may injure your hands.

1. INSTALL OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU
2. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH
3. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH
4. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH
5. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH






6. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER
a. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the front separate type seatback pad with 10 new hog rings.

NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the cover.
- When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.






7. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD
a. Fully cover the airbag with the 2 seatback cover brackets and tighten the nut.

Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)

NOTICE:
- For vehicles with side airbags, the seatback cover must be securely installed. Otherwise, the side airbags may not deploy properly.
- Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.
- Install the bracket securely.






b. Using hog ring pliers, install the front seatback cover with pad to the seat frame with 2 new hog rings, and attach the hooks.






c. Engage the 3 hooks.

8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT
9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT
10. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY






11. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER
a. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with 16 new hog rings.

NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the cover.
- When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

12. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD
13. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD
14. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY
15. INSTALL LOWER SEAT TRACK SPACER
16. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD
17. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE
