DESCRIPTION

The hybrid vehicle control ECU detects the condition of the fuel lid courtesy switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER





(a) Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the intelligent tester main switch on.
(c) Select FUEL LID in the DATA LIST and read the tester display.





OK:
OPEN or CLOSE appears on the screen according to the fuel lid condition.
NG -- INSPECT FUEL LID COURTESY SWITCH
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
2. INSPECT FUEL LID COURTESY SWITCH





(a) Remove the fuel lid courtesy switch Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPLACE FUEL LID COURTESY SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FUEL LID COURTESY SWITCH - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU)





(a) Disconnect the A61 ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FUEL LID COURTESY SWITCH BODY GROUND)





(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
