Introduction

Some customers may notice static noise from AM or FM radio bands when the rear window defroster is on. Use the following repair procedure and the revised rear window glass to improve this condition.

APPLICABLE WARRANTY

- This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

- Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

Repair Procedure

1. Remove the rear window glass.

Refer to Technical Information System (TIS)

- 2007/2008 model year Camry Repair manual, Vehicle Exterior - Window/Glass - "Back window glass: Removal"

2. Install the NEW rear window glass.

Refer to TIS,

- 2007/2008 model year Camry Repair manual, Vehicle Exterior - Window/Glass - "Back window glass: Installation"

3. Confirm the repair by verifying that the static noise is NOT present when the rear defroster is on.
