Tire Pressure Module: Service and Repair

TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU

REMOVAL

NOTICE: Before removing the tire pressure warning ECU, read the registered transmitter IDs of all wheels and write them down to use for re-registration of transmitter IDs.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
3. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUBASSEMBLY RH
4. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUBASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUBASSEMBLY (for TMC Made)
6. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUBASSEMBLY (for TMMK Made)





7. REMOVE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU
(a) Remove the nut.
(b) Disconnect the connector and remove the tire pressure warning ECU.

INSTALLATION





1. INSTALL TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU
(a) Connect the connector to the tire pressure warning ECU.
(b) Install the tire pressure warning ECU with the nut.
Torque: 7.5 Nm (77 kgf-cm, 66 inch lbs.)

2. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUBASSEMBLY (for TMC Made)
3. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUBASSEMBLY (for TMMK Made)
4. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUBASSEMBLY
5. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUBASSEMBLY RH
6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
7. CONNECT CABLE TO BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
8. REGISTER TRANSMITTER ID
9. INITIALIZE SYSTEM

NOTICE:
^ Be sure to register the transmitter IDs of all tires including the grand spare tire in the ECU before initialization.
^ Be sure to inflate all tires including the grand spare tire to the proper inflation pressure before initialization.

10. INSPECT TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM
