INTRODUCTION:
As a result of the removal of the Short Pin, the "automatic open and close" and "jam protection" functions of the sliding roof will be inoperative due to loss of the sliding roof position memory stored in the microcomputer.

Therefore, please initialize the sliding roof after installing the Short Pin in its original location during Pre-Delivery Service (PDS) at the dealership.

NOTE:
Any time the battery terminal has been disconnected, initialize the sliding roof after reconnecting the battery terminal.

APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2007 model year Avalon vehicles.







WARRANTY INFORMATION:

INITIALIZATION:
1. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.

NOTE:
Make sure the sliding roof is closed.







2. Push and hold the "TILT UP" side of the switch until the sliding roof tilts all the way up and then tilts down slightly.
3. Ensure that the sliding roof opens automatically by pushing the switch briefly to the "SLIDE OPEN" position.

NOTE:
Jam protection function becomes effective through the above initialization procedure.
