Idle Speed: Testing and Inspection

INSPECT ENGINE IDLING SPEED
a) Warm up the engine.
b) When using the hand-held tester or OBD II scan tool.
1) Connect the hand-held tester or OBD II scan tool to the DLC3.
2) Ignition switch to ON.
3) Select the following menu items:
DIAGNOSIS / ENHANCED OBD II / DATA LIST / PRIMARY / ENGINE SPD
Idling speed: 750 to 850 rpm

NOTICE:
^ Turn all the electrical systems OFF.
^ Inspect the engine idling speed with the cooling fan OFF.

HINT: Refer to the hand-held tester operator's manual for further information regarding the selection of DATA LIST.
