Main Bearing Cap Torque and Sequence





Mark the front of each bearing cap bolts with paint.
Retighten each bearing cap bolts by 45° twice, in the sequence order shown.
Check that the paint mark of each bolt is now at a 90° angle to the front.





Tighten the 10 other bolts for the bearing cap.
Torque 18 Nm (184 kgf-cm, 13 ft. lbs.)
