Windshield Moulding / Trim: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH




a. Remove the front door opening cover.
b. Using a screwdriver; remove the front pillar garnish.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

c. Employ the same manner described above to the other side.

2. REMOVE NO.3 ROOF HEADLINING




a. Remove the map light after disconnecting the connectors.
b. Remove the lighted visors and visor brackets.
c. Remove the No.3 roof headlining.

3. REMOVE LOWER OUTSIDE WINDSHIELD MOULDING




a. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.




b. Turn over the sides of the front header weatherstrip, and remove the clips.
c. Employ the same manner described above to the other side.




4. REMOVE OUTSIDE UPPER WINDSHIELD MOULDING
Remove the 6 nuts and outside upper windshield moulding.




5. REMOVE FRONT CONVERTIBLE ROOF WEATHERSTRIP
a. Remove the 2 clips.
b. Pull the weatherstrip upward to remove it.

6. REMOVE ROOF SIDE DRIP MOULDING WEATHERSTRIP




a. Remove the 5 screws and roof side drip moulding weatherstrip.
b. Employ the same manner described above to the other side.




7. REMOVE CONVERTIBLE ROOF WEATHERSTRIP RETAINER
Remove the 9 screws and convertible roof weatherstrip retainer.

8. REMOVE WINDSHIELD HEADER OUTER GARNISH
9. REMOVE FRONT HEADER LATCH RECEIVER




a. Remove the 2 screws and receiver.

Torque: 17 N.m (175 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)

b. Employ the same manner described above to the other side.

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
