Keyless Entry: Description and Operation

SYSTEM OUTLINE

Without the ignition key inserted in the door key cylinder, the door lock control is performed by remote control, using low-power electrical waves emitted by a transmitter.

1. WIRELESS DOOR LOCK OR UNLOCK NORMAL OPERATION
When the lock or unlock button on the transmitter is pushed, the door lock receiver receives the code from the transmitter.
The validation of the code is checked and a signal is output to the integration relay.

2. WIRELESS DOOR UNLOCK OPERATION
When the ignition SW is OFF, pushing the unlock button on the transmitter once will unlock the front LH door. Pushing the button again within 3 seconds will unlock any other locked doors.

3. AUTOMATIC LOCK OPERATION
With the ignition key not inserted into the ignition key cylinder (Unlock warning SW off) and all the doors completely closed, after pushing the button (Transmitter) to unlock all the doors, if a door is not opened within 30 seconds, all the doors will be automatically relocked.

4. VISUAL CONFIRMATION OF LOCK OR UNLOCK FUNCTION
If all doors indicate they are locked after the lock command, the taillights and parking lights will flash once. If any door indicates it is unlocked after the unlock command, the taillights and parking lights will flash twice.
