Headliner: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the front door scuff plate.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Employ the same manner described above to the other side.
2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING COVERS
Using a screwdriver, remove the front door opening covers.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
3. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the front pillar garnish.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Employ the same manner described above to the other side.
4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION
5. REMOVE REAR SEATBACKS
6. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK SIDE HINGES
Remove the 2 bolts and 2 hinges.
7. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL
a. Using a screwdriver, remove and open the screw covers of the rear assist grip.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Remove the 2 screws and rear assist grip.
c. Using a screwdriver, remove the quarter trim panel.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
d. Employ the same manner described above to the other side.
8. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH
a. Remove the front seat belt shoulder anchor and bolt.
b. Remove a screw and coat hook.
c. Remove a clip.
d. Using a screwdriver, remove the roof side inner garnish.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
e. Employ the same manner described above to the other side.
9. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the lens.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Open the box cover.
c. Remove the 3 screws and map light assembly.
d. Disconnect the connector.
10. REMOVE INTERIOR LIGHT
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the lens.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Remove the 4 screws and interior light.
c. Disconnect the connector.
11. w/ Sliding roof:
REMOVE ROOF OPENING TRIM
12. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the caps.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and assist grip.
13. REMOVE SUN VISOR
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the cover.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Remove the 2 screws and pull the sun visor downward.
c. Disconnect the connector.
d. Employ the same manner described above to the other side.
14. REMOVE SUN VISOR HOLDERS
Remove the 2 screws and 2 holders.
15. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING
Pull the roof headlining downward to remove it.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING
Install the roof headlining, push the rear part of roof headlining by hand.
2. INSTALL SUN VISOR HOLDERS
Install the 2 holders with the 2 screws.
3. INSTALL SUN VISOR
a. Connect the connector.
b. Install the sun visor with the 2 screws.
c. Install the cover.
d. Employ the same manner described above to the other side.
4. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP
a. Install the assist grip with the 2 bolts.
b. Install the caps.
5. w/ Sliding roof:
INSTALL ROOF OPENING TRIM
6. INSTALL INTERIOR LIGHT
a. Connect the connector.
b. Install the interior light with the 4 screws.
c. Install the lens
7. INSTALL MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Connect the connector.
b. Install the map light with the 3 screws.
c. Install the lens to the light.
8. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH
a. Install the roof side inner garnish and clip.
b. Install the coat hook with the screw.
c. Install the front seat belt shoulder anchor with the bolt.
Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
d. Employ the same manner described above to the other side.
9. INSTALL QUARTER TRIM PANEL
a. Install the quarter trim panel.
b. Install the assist grip with the 2 screws.
c. Install and close the 2 screw covers of the rear assist grip.
d. Employ the same manner described above to the other side.
10. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK SIDE HINGES
Install the 2 hinges with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 19 N.m (194 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf)
11. INSTALL REAR SEATBACKS
12. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION
13. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH
a. Install the front pillar garnish to the body.
b. Employ the same manner described above to the other side.
14. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING COVERS
15. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE
a. Install the front door scuff plate to the body.
b. Employ the same manner described above to the other side.
