Camshaft Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION

INSPECT CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
(a) Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector.





(b) Inspect the camshaft position sensor resistance. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals.

Resistance:

DENSO Made Resistance Specifications:

Wabash Made Resistance Specifications:

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the camshaft portion sensor.

(c) Reconnect the camshaft position sensor connector.
