Camshaft Gear/Sprocket: Service and Repair









REMOVAL
1. Remove the timing belt as described under Timing Components.






2. Using the variable pin wrench Special Service Tool (SST) No. 09962-01000 with pins tool No. 09963-01000 installed, or equivalent, to hold the pulley, remove the pulley bolt.
3. Remove both timing pulleys.

INSTALLATION
1. Align the camshaft knock pin with the groove on the pulley, and slide on the timing pulley.
2. Install the timing pulley bolt hand tight.
3. Using the variable pin wrench to hold the pulley, tighten the pulley bolt to 79 Nm (810 kg. cm., 59 ft. lbs.)
4. Install the timing Belt.
