Throttle Position Sensor: Adjustments

THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR ADJUSTMENT



1. Loosen the two mounting screws.



2. Apply vacuum to the throttle opener.
3. Insert a 0.60 mm (0.024 in) feeler gauge between throttle stop screw and throttle lever.
4. Connect the probes of an ohmmeter to terminals IDL and E2.
5. Rotate the sensor counter-clockwise until the ohmmeter indicates continuity.
6. Slowly rotate sensor clockwise until the ohmmeter deflects to indicate no continuity and secure the two mounting screws.



7. Recheck for continuity between terminal IDL and E2.
