Fuel Pump Relay: Testing and Inspection

CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY INSPECTION

Circuit Opening Relay Location:

1. REMOVE CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY.

2. INSPECT CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY.
(A) Inspect relay continuity.



- Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between terminals 86 and 85.
- Check that there is no continuity between terminals 87 and 30.
- If continuity is not as specified, replace the relay.

(B) Inspect relay operation.
- Apply battery voltage across terminals 86 and 85.



- Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between terminals 87 and 30.
- If operation is not as specified, replace the relay.

3. REINSTALL CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY.
