Transmission Temperature Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection

ECT CUT SWITCH INSPECTION
1. REMOVE ECT SWITCH.
2. INSPECT ECT CUT SWITCH.



- Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between the terminal and switch body when the engine coolant temperature is below 98°C (208° F).



- Check that there is continuity between the terminal and switch body when the engine coolant temperature is above 105°C (221°F).
- If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.
3. REINSTALL ECT CUT SWITCH.
