AIR CONTROL VALVE (ACV) INSPECTION
(Federal Vehicles ONLY)

Electronic Parts Location, Federal Vehicles:

1. REMOVE ACV.

2. INSPECT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT.



- Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between the terminals.

Resistance @ 20°C (68°F): 30 - 33 0hms

- If there is no continuity, replace the ACV.

3. INSPECT FOR GROUND.



- Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between each terminal and body.
- If there is continuity, replace the ACV.

4. INSPECT ACV OPERATION.



- Check that air does not flows from ports E to F.



- Apply battery voltage across the terminals.
- Check that air flows from ports E to F.
- If operation is not as specified, replace the ACV.

5. REINSTALL ACV.
