Steering Angle Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Do not perform the following test when a diagnostic code has been stored.
1. Turn ignition switch On.
2. Using suitable jumper wire, connect check terminals Tc and E1, Fig. 20.
3. Inspect power steering warning lamp condition changes as follows:
a. When vehicle speed is below 12 mph and steering angle is less then 36°, lamp should blink.
b. When vehicle speed is below 12 mph and steering angle is more then 36°, lamp should be Off.
c. When vehicle speed is above 12 mph and steering angle is less then 36°, lamp should be On.
d. When vehicle speed is above 12 mph and steering angle is more then 36°, lamp should be Off.
