Cold Start Injector: Service and Repair

COLD START INJECTOR REMOVAL




1. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY.
- Refer to Throttle Body service procedures.
- Throttle Body

2. REMOVE COLD START INJECTOR PIPE.



- Remove the 2 union bolts, 4 gaskets and cold start injector pipe.

CAUTION:
- Put a suitable container or shop towel under the injector pipe.
- Slowly loosen the union bolts.

3. REMOVE COLD START INJECTOR



- Disconnect the cold start injector connector.
- Remove the 2 bolts, cold start injector and gasket.


COLD START INJECTOR INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL COLD START INJECTOR
- Install a new gasket and the cold start injector with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 5.9 Nm (52 in.lb)

- Connect the cold start injector connector.

2. INSTALL COLD START INJECTOR PIPE.
- Install the cold start injector pipe with 4 new gaskets and 2 union bolts.

Torque: 12 Nm (9 ft.lb)

3. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY.
4. START ENGINE AND CHECK FOR FUEL LEAKS.
- Refer to "Testing For Fuel System Leaks" under System Diagnosis.
