DISTRIBUTOR INSPECTION

1. INSPECT SHAFT.






- Turn the shaft and check that it is not rough or worn. If it feels rough or worn, replace the distributor during assembly.

NOTE: The signal generator (pickup coil) is an integral part of the distributor assembly. Therefore a complete inspection of the distributor assembly must include an inspection of the pickup coil air gap and resistance. Refer to pickup coil inspection procedures.
