EGR Temperature Sensor: Testing and Inspection

EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSPECTION
1. REMOVE EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR.



- Refer to image for information.

2. INSPECT EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR.



- Using an ohmmeter. measure the resistance between the terminals.

Resistance | Temperature
64 - 97 k Ohms | 50°C (112°F)
11 - 16 k Ohms | 100°C (212°F)
2 - 4 k Ohms | 150°C (302°F)

- If the resistance is not as specified. replace the sensor.

3. REINSTALL EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR.
