TE1, TE2 TERMINALS CIRCUITCIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
Terminals TEl and TE2 are located in the data link connector (DLC1).
DLC1 is located in the engine compartment. When these terminals are connected with the E1 terminal, diagnostic trouble codes can be read (in normal mode or test mode, respectively) from the Malfunction Indicator Lamp on the combination meter.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT: If terminals TE1 and TE2 are simultaneously connected with terminal E1, diagnostic trouble code will not be output and the test mode is not activated.
If the malfunction indicator lamp blinks even though terminal TE1 is not connected with terminal E1, the likely cause is an open or short in the wire harness, or a malfunction inside the ECM.
