Oxygen Sensor: Testing and Inspection
HEATED OXYGEN SENSORS INSPECTION1. INSPECT HEATER RESISTANCE OF MAIN HEATED OXYGEN SENSORS.
Heated Oxygen Sensors; Bank 1, Sensor 2:
- Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals +B and HT.
Resistance @ 20°C (68°F): 11 - 16 Ohms
- If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.
Torque: 44 Nm (440 kgf.cm; 31 ft.lb)
- Reconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
2. INSPECT HEATER RESISTANCE OF REAR HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR.
Heated Oxygen Sensor: Bank 1, Sensor 2:
- Remove the passenger's seat.
- Take out the console box side of the floor carpet.
- Reinstall the floor carpet.
- Reinstall the passenger's seat.
