SPARK TEST PROCEDURES




1. REMOVE THE V-BANK COVER.




2. REMOVE THE IGNITION COIL.

3. REMOVE THE SPARK PLUG.
4. INSTALL THE SPARK PLUG TO THE IGNITION COIL, CONNECT THE IGNITION COIL CONNECTOR AND GROUND THE SPARK PLUG.
5. CHECK IF SPARK OCCURS WHILE ENGINE IS BEING CRANKED.

NOTE: To prevent gasoline from being injected from injectors during this test, crank the engine for no more than 1 - 2 seconds at time.

- Repeat on next cylinder if necessary.

^ IF THE SPARK DOES NOT OCCUR PROCEED TO IGNITION SYSTEM TEST.
