Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. DISCONNECT NEGATIVE (-) TERMINAL CABLE FROM BATTERY.
CAUTION: Work must not be started for at least 90 seconds from the time the Ignition switch Is turned to the LOCK position and the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery.
2. REMOVE RIGHT SIDE ENGINE UNDER COVER.
3. REMOVE RIGHT SIDE FENDER APRON SEAL.
4. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE. REMOVE THE 3 NUTS AND DISCONNECT THE ENGINE WIRE.
5. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR.
- Remove the bolt and remove the Crankshaft Position Sensor.
- Disconnect the Crankshaft Position Sensor connector.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR.
Torque: 8 N.m (69 in lb)
2. CONNECT ENGINE WIRE.
3. INSTALL RIGHT SIDE FENDER APRON SEAL.
4. INSTALL RIGHT SIDE ENGINE UNDER COVER.
5. CONNECT NEGATIVE (-) TERMINAL CABLE TO BATTERY.
