EGR Temperature Sensor: Testing and Inspection
1. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY.
2. REMOVE EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR.
3. INSPECT EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR.
- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.
Sensor Resistance:
- At 50°C (122°F): 64 - 97 k Ohms
- At 100°C (212°F): 11 - 16 k Ohms
- At 150°C (3O2°F): 2 - 4 k Ohms
- If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.
4. REINSTALL EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR.
5. REINSTALL THROTTLE BODY.
