Oxygen Sensor: Testing and Inspection

HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR INSPECTION:
1. INSPECT HEATER RESISTANCE OF HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR.
- Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.



- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals +B and HT.

Resistance: At 2O°C (68°F): 5 - 7 Ohms

- If resistance is not as specified, replace the heated oxygen sensor.
- Reconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.

2. INSPECT FEEDBACK VOLTAGE.
- Allow the engine to warm up to normal operating temperature.



- Connect the positive (+) probe of a voltmeter terminal VF1 of the DLC1, and negative (-) probe to terminal E1.
- Perform the following test:
