1992-1996 CAMRY TRUNK LID TORSION ROD ADJUSTMENT





1992-1996 Camry sedans (not coupes) with rear spoilers (Part Numbers 00477-32945 and 00477-32925) may require adjustment of the trunk lid torsion rods to hold the trunk lid fully open. The torsion rods should be adjusted by moving each installed rod position from the center to the uppermost adjustment location. (See Figures 1 and 2).

If the increase in hold-open tension is not sufficient, the torsion rods should be removed and replaced with the parts listed below:
