Component Tests and General Diagnostics



Warm Up Engine
- Allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature.

TPS Connector ID:





Inspect Fuel Cut RPM
- Disconnect the connector from the throttle position sensor.
- Connect terminals IDL and E2 on the wiring connector side.

RPM Monitoring:





- Gradually raise the engine rpm and check that there is fluctuation between the fuel cut and fuel return points.

HINT: ^ The vehicle should be stopped.
^ Measure with the A/C OFF.

- Fuel cut rpm: 2,000 rpm
- Fuel return rpm: 1,000 to 1,500 rpm
