Camshaft Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Check That Spark Occurs

- Disconnect the high-tension cords from the spark plugs.
- Remove the spark plugs.
- Install the spark plugs to the each high-tension cord.
- Ground the spark plug.
- Check if spark occurs while engine is being cranked.

HINT: To minimize the amount of fuel injected into cylinders during this test, crank the engine for no more than 1 - 2 seconds at a time.

- If the spark does not occur, perform ignition diagnosis by symptom.
- If spark occurs, proceed to starter circuit inspection.
