Windshield Wiper Switch

Fig. 7 Combination Switch Assembly:

1. On models equipped with airbags, disarm airbag system as outlined under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
2. On models less airbag, disconnect battery ground cable.
3. On all models, remove steering wheel as outlined under STEERING SUSPENSION CHASSIS AND BODY COMPONENTS/STEERING/STEERING WHEEL.
4. Remove steering column upper and lower covers.

5. Disconnect wire terminal from horn contact (if equipped).
6. Disconnect windshield wiper/washer switch connector, then using a small screwdriver, disengage windshield wiper/washer switch wiring from combination switch connector. Note position of wires.
7. Remove screw, clamp and windshield wiper/washer switch assembly.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
