Component Locations

Computerized Engine Controls Component Locations:

AIR FLOW METER:
The air flow meter is located on the left side of the engine compartment.

CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY:
Mounted behind the center console, just forward of ECU.

DIAGNOSTIC CHECK CONNECTOR:
The diagnostic connector is located on the left side of the engine compartment on the left strut tower.

EFI MAIN RELAY:
Located at center left side of engine compartment.

ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT (ECU):
The ECU is located in the lower center console.

EGR VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE (VSV):
Located on the left side of the engine on the cylinder head.

EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR (Calif. only):
The EGR temperature sensor is located below the EGR valve.

FUSES AND FUSIBLE LINKS

Fuse And Fusible Links:

IDLE-UP VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE (VSV):
This valve is located on the air filter housing.

INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR (THA):
The intake air temperature sensor is located in the airflow meter.

KNOCK CONTROL SENSOR:
Located on the left side of the engine block.

NEUTRAL START SWITCH:
The Neutral Start Switch is located at the forward left side of the engine compartment, on the transaxle.

OXYGEN SENSOR (OS):
Mounted in the exhaust pipe down stream from the exhaust manifold, just before the Three-way Catalyst.

SUB-OXYGEN SENSOR (Calif. only):
Mounted in the exhaust pipe just behind the catalytic converter.

THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR:
The throttle position sensor is located on the throttle body.

VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR (VSS):
Located behind the instrument panel.

WATER TEMPERATURE SENSOR (THW):
Located in the water inlet housing.
