Intercooler

Checking Intercooler Coolant Level:







1. Check Intercooler coolant level.
2. Check coolant quality. If rust or scale deposits are present, flush and replace coolant. Refer to INTERCOOLER COOLANT under COMPONENT REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR PROCEDURES for proper procedure.
3. Check for presence of oil in the coolant. If oil is present, the turbocharger is bad and leaking oil into the intake system.
4. Inspect the Intercooler coolant level warning sensor with an Ohmmeter.
5. Unplug the sensor and remove it from the Intercooler.
6. Check that there is continuity with the switch ON (float up).

7. Check that there is NO continuity with the switch OFF (float down).
8. If not as specified, replace the Intercooler coolant level warning sensor.
9. Reinstall the sensor in the Intercooler.
