Vehicle Speed Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Speed Sensor Check:

ANALOG METER

1. Connect ohmmeter between terminals A and B.
2. Turn speedometer shaft and check that continuity is indicated 4 times per revolution.
3. If not as specified, replace sensor.

DIGITAL METER

1. Connect ohmmeter between terminals A9 and A11.
2. Turn speedometer shaft and check that continuity is indicated 4 times per revolution.
3. If not as specified, replace sensor.
