With Super Monitor Display

OUTPUT OF DIAGNOSTIC CODES
To obtain an output of diagnostic codes, proceed as follows:

Initial Conditions
a. Battery voltage 11 volts or more.
b. Throttle valve fully closed (throttle position sensor IDL points closed)
c. Transmission in N or P range.
d. Air conditioner switched "OFF".
e. Engine at normal operating temperature.

With Super Monitor Display
1. Turn the ignition switch to "ON". Do not start the engine.





2. Simultaneously push and hold in the SELECT and INPUT M keys for at least 3 seconds. The letters DIAG will appear on the screen.





3. After a short pause, hold in the SET key for at least 3 seconds.

Diagnostic Code





a. If the system is normal (no malfunction), ENG - OK will appear on the screen.





b. If there is malfunction, the code number for it will appear on the screen. In event of 2 or more numbers, there will be a 3 second pause between each. (Example ENG - 42)

4. After confirmation of the diagnostic code, either turn "OFF" the ignition switch or push the super monitor display key so the time appears.
