Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Testing and Inspection





ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT ISC VALVE OPERATION
(a) initial conditions
- Engine at reach normal operating temperature
- Idle speed set correctly





(b) Disconnect the ISC valve connector.
(c) Check the engine rpm.

Engine rpm: 1,000 rpm or more





(d) Reconnect the ISC valve connector.
(e) Check that they return to the idle speed.

Idle speed: 750 ± 50 rpm

If the rpm operation is not as specified, check the ISC valve, wiring and ECU.





2. INSPECT ISC VALVE RESISTANCE
(a) Disconnect the ISC valve Connector.
(b) Measure the resistance between the terminal + B and other terminals (ISC1, ISC2).

Resistance: 16.0 - 17.0 ohms each

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the valve.

(c) Reconnect the ISC valve connector.
