System Test

1. Start and operate engine until normal operating temperature is obtained.
2. Check and adjust idle speed, if necessary.
3. Disconnect and plug top inner vacuum hose from TP diaphragm.
4. Disconnect and plug vacuum hose from EGR valve.
5. Disconnect electrical connector from EBCV.
6. Ensure TP is set on the first step.
7. With electric cooling fan not operating and TP set on the first step. Engine speed should be 1000-1200 RPM.
8. Connect top inner vacuum hose to TP diaphragm.
9. Disconnect and plug top outer vacuum hose from TP diaphragm.
10. Ensure TP is set on the second step.
11. With TP set on the second step, engine speed should be 2000-2200 RPM.
12. Connect vacuum hose and check engine speed returns to idle speed within 2-6 seconds.
