TITLE - COMPRESSOR DRIVE PULLEY
Condition: On port and/or dealer installed air conditioning, the compressor drive pulley mounting bolts used on 1987 Tercel with the 3E engine (EL) and not equipped with power steering may rub against the plastic timing chain cover.
Cause: The M8 x L20 bolts, without washers, used to mount the compressor bracket (found in the No. 5 bag) might be mistakenly used to mount the compressor drive pulley. These bolts are 2-3 threads too long.
Correction: Use the M8 x L20 bolts, with washers (found in the No. 7 bag), to mount the compressor drive pulley onto the crankshaft pulley.
