Fuel Pump Relay: Testing and Inspection

Circuit Opening Relay:

INSPECTION OF CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY





1. CHECK CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY OPERATION.
a. Remove the glove box.
b. Remove the circuit opening relay with the wiring from the bracket.
c. Using a voltmeter, check that the meter indicates voltage at Fp terminal during engine cranking and running.






2. MEASURE RESISTANCE OF CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY.
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Measure the resistance between each terminal.

Resistance Between Terminals
STA - E1 17 - 25 ohms
B - Fc 88 - 132 ohms
B - Fp Infinity
