INSPECTION OF COLD START INJECTOR TIME SWITCH

1. INSPECT COLD START INJECTOR TIME SWITCH.
a. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between each terminal.

Resistance:






3S-FE
STA - STJ
20 - 40 ohms below 30°C (86°F)
40 - 60 ohms above 40°C (104°F)

STA - Ground
20 - 80 ohms






3S-GE
STA - STJ
30 - 50 ohms below 10°C (50°F)
70 - 90 ohms above 25°C (77°F?

STA - Ground
30 - 90 ohms

b. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the switch.
