Compressor Clutch Relay: Testing and Inspection

A/C Clutch Relay Testing:

CONTINUITY


1. Check that there is continuity between terminals 1 and 2, and between terminals 1 and 4.
2. Check that there is no continuity between terminals 1 and 3.
3. If not as specified, replace relay.

OPERATION

1. Apply battery voltage to terminals 1 and 2.
2. Check that there is continuity between terminals 1 and 3.
3. Check that there is no continuity between terminals 1 and 4.
4. If not as specified, replace relay.
