SUBJECT: SPECIAL SERVICE CAMPAIGN - SSC H04 PREMATURE RUST CONDITION ON 1987 CAMRY WAGON TAILGATE
Toyota will initiate a special service campaign to correct a premature rust condition on a part of the tailgate that may occur on some 1987 Camry wagons. The finish panel on the outside of the tailgate may rub against the painted surface and result in paint damage or premature rusting. Some parts must be installed to prevent this paint damage and, if necessary, the damaged area caused by this condition must be repaired.
The following information is provided for your participation in this campaign:

3. Repair Procedures
Refer to the attached Technical Instructions.
4. Parts Ordering
As with all campaigns, necessary parts must be ordered from your facing Parts Distribution Center.
In order to avoid excessive parts orders and maintain adequate parts inventory, it is highly recommended that your initial parts order does not exceed 10% of the number of vehicles indicated on the enclosed special service campaign dealer owner list (SSC H04).
