Troubleshooting


Troubleshoot supercharger system/components prior to conducting service.

NO SUPERCHARGER PRESSURE

1. Compressor does not rotate properly:
a. Drive belt loose or broken.
b. Defective compressor.
2. Magnetic clutch does not engage:
a. Blown fuses.
b. Faulty supercharger relay.
c. Faulty magnetic clutch.
d. Faulty electronic fuel injection electronic control unit.
e. Faulty wiring/connectors.

EXCESSIVELY LOW SUPERCHARGER PRESSURE

1. Slipping drive belt.
2. Faulty magnetic clutch.
3. Faulty compressor.
4. Faulty ABV/VSV.
5. Faulty ABV.
6. Faulty electronic fuel injection electronic control unit.

EXCESSIVELY HIGH SUPERCHARGER PRESSURE

1. Faulty ABV/VSV.
2. Faulty ABV.
3. Faulty electronic fuel injection electronic control unit.
