Throttle Body: Testing and Inspection

1. Operate throttle linkage through full range, ensuring that throttle does not bind or stick.
2. Start engine and check vacuum at throttle body ports as follows:
a. No vacuum should be present at ports marked with 6, 8 or an asterisk when throttle is closed, but vacuum should be present at above ports when throttle is opened.
b. No vacuum should be present at port 1 in any throttle position.
3. If throttle body does not perform as outlined, remove throttle body and repair or replace as necessary.
