Maximum Speed Adjust

Before adjusting maximum speed, ensure air cleaner is installed, engine is at normal operating temperature, accessories Off and transmission in Neutral.
1. Connect a suitable tachometer onto engine.
2. Remove maximum speed adjusting screw lock wire.
3. Loosen maximum speed adjusting bolt locknut.
4. Turn maximum speed adjusting screw until 5100 RPM is obtained, Fig. 22.
