Blower Motor Relay: Testing and Inspection

Heater Relay Testing:

1. Check power source line between terminals 3 and 5 of wiring connector and body ground.
2. Check ground connection between terminals 2 and 4 of wiring connector and body ground.
3. Inspect relay continuity:
a. Check that continuity exists between terminals 1 and 3 and between terminals 2 and 4.
b. Check that no continuity exists between terminals 4 and 5.
4. Inspect relay operation:
a. Apply battery voltage across terminals 1 and 3.
b. Check that continuity exists between terminals 4 and 5.
c. Check that no continuity exists between terminals 2 and 4.
5. Replace relay if checks are not as specified.
