SHIFT LINKAGE
1. Loosen shift linkage nut.
2. Push manual lever fully forward, then return lever two notches to the Neutral position.
3. While holding selector slightly toward Reverse range, tighten shift linkage nut.

NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH
1. Loosen neutral safety switch bolt, then place selector in Neutral range.
2. Disconnect electrical connector, then connect a suitable ohmmeter between terminals, Fig. 1.
3. Adjust switch until no continuity exists between terminals ``N'' and ``B.''
4. Connect electrical connector.
5. Torque neutral safety switch bolt to 48 inch lbs.

THROTTLE CABLE
1. Fully depress accelerator pedal, then ensure throttle valve is fully open.
2. With accelerator pedal fully depressed, loosen throttle valve adjustment nuts, Fig. 2.
3. Adjust cable housing until distance between end of boot and stopper on cable is 0-.04 inch.
4. Tighten adjusting nuts, then recheck adjustment.
TRANSFER LINKAGE
1. Place transfer lever in ``H2'' position.
2. Disconnect No. 1 transfer linkage from cross shaft.
3. Position transfer indicator switch in ``H2'' position.
4. Connect No. 1 transfer linkage from cross shaft.

TRANSFER POSITION SWITCH
1. Loosen transfer position switch bolt, then place switch in ``L4'' position.
2. Disconnect electrical connector, then connect a suitable ohmmeter between terminals, Fig. 3
3. Adjust switch until there is no continuity between terminals.
4. Connect electrical connector, then torque bolt to 48 inch lbs.
5. Ensure proper idle RPM.
