Thermo Time Switch: Testing and Inspection

Fig. 36 Testing Start Time Switch:

1. Disconnect electrical connector from switch and measure resistance between terminals, Fig. 36.
2. Meter should read 20 - 49 ohms with coolant temperature below 86°F and 40 - 80 ohms with temperature above 104°F).
3. Measure resistance between STA and ground. Meter should read 20 - 80 ohms.
4. If readings are not as specified, switch is defective.
