Exhaust EGR Pipe

Exhaust EGR Pipe Removal

1. Remove the exhaust EGR pipe flange-to-EGR valve retaining bolts.
2. Remove the exhaust pipe bracket-to-cylinder head long side retaining bolt.




3. Remove the exhaust EGR pipe gasket.
4. Remove the exhaust EGR pipe-to-heater adapter retaining nuts.
5. Remove the exhaust pipe bracket-to-cylinder head short side retaining bolt.




6. Remove the exhaust EGR pipe gasket.

Exhaust EGR Pipe Installation

1. Installation should follow the removal procedure in the reverse order.







2. Install the exhaust EGR pipe.

Tighten:
- Tighten the exhaust EGR pipe-to-heater adapter retaining nuts to 8 - 12 N.m (71 - 106 lb-in.).
- Tighten the exhaust pipe bracket-to-cylinder head short side retaining bolt to 18 - 22 N.m (13 - 16 lb-ft).
- Tighten the exhaust EGR pipe flange-to-EGR valve retaining bolts to 8 - 12 N.m (71 - 106 lb-in.).
- Tighten the exhaust pipe bracket-to-cylinder head long side retaining bolt to 8 - 12 N.m (71 - 106 lb-in.).
