CONDITION:
Data Link Connector (DLC) pin configuration has been changed from a 12 pin to a 16 pin connector.

CAUSE:
OBD II system configuration.

CORRECTION:
When diagnosing the vehicles listed above, use the updated Tech-1A adapter as listed in this bulletin.

REVISION:
Additional information concerning the use of Suzuki cables & adapters.

This bulletin is to inform you of the change in the Data Link Connector (DLC) for the vehicles listed above. The pin configuration on the DLC has been modified from a 12 pin to a 16 pin connection to conform to the OBD II (On-Board Diagnostics II) system requirements. As a result of this change, a new Tech-1A adapter is now available to adapt your Tech-1A to the updated connector. If your Tech-1A needs this new adapter, please use the part numbers as listed in this bulletin.

Warning!
Use of cables and adapters supplied by other manufacturers (i.e. G.M., Isuzu, etc.) may result in some diagnostic codes not being passed from the vehicle to your Tech-1A.

Only use Suzuki supplied cables and adapters with your Tech-1A.

TECH-1A PARTS SUPPLY INFORMATION

There are two versions of the Tech-1A: Version # 1 and Version # 2, as shown. When ordering parts for your Tech-1A, make sure that you order the correct parts for your particu1ar version.
