Removal and Replacement

Intercooler

REMOVAL

1. Remove the bolts holding the PCV pipe to the intercooler.






2. Remove the clip (A) which holds the air by-pass hose on the air by-pass valve and disconnect vacuum hose (B) from the air by-pass valve.
3. Loosen the clamp (C) holding the intake duct to the turbocharger.
4. Loosen the clamp (D) holding the air duct hose to the intercooler.






5. Remove the bolts which secure the intercooler to the intercooler stay, and remove the intercooler.









6. Remove the air duct hose from the throttle body.






7. Remove clip (A) holding the engine harness to the intercooler stay RH, and remove the intercooler stay RH.






8. Remove the intercooler stay LH.






INSTALLATION

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Tightening torque: 16 N.m (1.6 kgf-m, 11.8 ft-lb)









Tightening torque: 3 N.m (0.3 kgf-m, 2.2 ft-lb)






Tightening torque: 16 N.m (1.6 kgf-m, 11.8 ft-lb)









Tightening torque: 3 N.m (0.3 kgf-m, 2.2 ft-lb)






Tightening torque: 5.5 N.m (0.6 kgf-m, 4.1 ft-lb)
